TOM MCALISTER, co-owner of TOMSCO INVESTMENTS, is a longstanding local entrepreneur with a wealth of experience in forming partnerships operating in a variety of market endeavors.  His experience in DISTRIBUTION, RETAIL, WHOLESALE and other industries has taught him valuable hands-on lessons about pivoting and responding to market stressors.  Tom’s entrepreneurial story spans five decades in Abilene, giving him particular insights about “watch-outs” which he refers to as “pitfalls”.  He speaks about the value of being involved in civic organizations and making an investment of time and money in our community.  There is a type of marketplace wisdom that can only be gained over time – Tom is willing to share what he has learned in his journey with those of us who have not yet put in the time.

TOMSCO INVESTMENTS is a Limited Liability Company engaged in the buying and selling of residential and commercial real estate.  Longer term commercial property also make up part of the acquisitions.  The main objective is to specialize in the renovation of foreclosed and distressed properties to achieve a fair and reasonable return on investment.
